Unfortunately its designed more towards ed and dj music. The newer MXRs don’t sound nearly as good or track as well as the early 2000’s sub octave I found on eBay. Its based on the popular Boss OC-2 pedal, but with many more. another 15 outstanding effect plugins VPS Philta XL offers hq-filters with up to 96 db cutoff VPS Multiband Sidechain3 2-band sidechaining at its best VMS. It offers Mono and Poly modes, providing numerous enhancements for extended-range playing. The Boss OC-5 Polyphonic Guitar/Bass Octave Pedal is a versatile pedal that fuses classic BOSS octave tones with the latest tracking technologies. Its ability to blend seamlessly with my other pedals is down to Keeley’s design and circuitry quality. The pog will track better, but sound kind of synth-y, the boss didn’t track well at all imo and the MXR have decent tracking and sound very natural and analog. OC-D2 is an octaver plug-in that generates a signal one and/or two octaves below the original. It provides the best sound quality and playability of any octave stomp. The Keeley Halo Dual Echo is an advanced delay stompbox I’ve used frequently for the past few months. I wish we had a Helix quality vocal effect pedal but given the lackluster product offering in the market that is a long way off.įor what its worth, Ive used most of these up there, and the Roland vt-4 blows them all out of the water by a mile. I’ve owned several boss, ehx and MXR sub octave pedal. Reverb, ducked delay, and possibly a simple auto tune, that are natural. Preamps that are on par with studio or large venue quality preamps. REAL - Mirrors the distribution of white and black keys in a real piano. The industry really would benefit from a vocal pedal that does only a few things, and well: The Boss ve20 is an over 18 year old dinosaur, and the 7 year old voicelive 3 (this predates iphone4 technology…) sounds like a toy compared to most console preamps and built in effects. Unfortunately the best the market has to offer are pedals that are pretty low in quality and more gimmick than meaningful. I’m really glad to see this post, because vocal pedals ought to have WAY more attention in live music market.
